Buying a Used Vehicle

Welcome to my website. My name is Frances Reed. If you’re considering buying a used car, you are in the right place. I recently had my first experience with purchasing a used car and want to share some tips I learned along the way. When I began my search, the important things were color, comfort, and low mileage. I ended up with a green vehicle (which isn't on my favorite color list,) it has over 150,000 miles driven, but it is comfortable. I was very fortunate and had a friend who’s a mechanic come with me to test drive vehicles. Tip number one: be sure you have a mechanic check out vehicles before you buy. I hope I can offer you some valuable information here.

Three Types Of Truck Shells And The Benefits Of Each

by Connor Ferguson

Gone are the days when you would just go out and buy a truck bed cap and snap it onto the back of your truck. Now there are numerous options for truck owners. Here are three new truck shells and the benefits of each.

The Truck Conversion Shell

This type of truck shell converts any standard pickup into a commercial vehicle instantly. The shell has a roof-mounted ladder rack, back and side tool storage where the shell's windows would normally be, and tons of options for turning your truck into a tool shed on wheels. If you do not want to spend exorbitant amounts of money on a commercial fleet, adding this truck shell to your personal truck will save you lots of money. Additionally, should you ever decide to go out of business, you can remove the truck shell and convert your "work" truck back into a personal vehicle.

The Folding Cover

Unlike the solid truck bed cover, this extremely durable but lightweight cover folds back onto itself so that you can reach into the bed of your truck to get what you want and then fold the cover back over the top of the truck bed again. It gives you the ability to decide just how much of your truck bed you leave exposed or covered. It effectively repels rain, snow and ice, so if you get stuck somewhere with no hotel or motel in sight, you could effectively sleep in the bed of your truck with the folding cover protecting you from the bugs and the elements.

SUV-Style "High Rise" Shell

When you wanted an SUV but you got roped into buying a truck instead, you still have the option of "converting" it into an SUV with the use of this truck shell. It provides the look of an SUV passenger section, with sliding side windows and enough head room that you can nearly stand up in the back of your truck without hitting your head or having to crouch too far over. The added benefit of buying a truck and attaching the SUV-style shell is that it costs you far less than if you had bought the SUV (or a crossover) in the first place. You can drive around making everybody think you got your SUV, when in fact, you are driving a truck with a highly stylized truck shell attached to the truck bed and enjoying the money you saved by selecting this option.
